Take
advantage of a simplified system that will allow tax to be
reclaimed on all your donations to the Parish. This means, for
every pound you give, the parish will benefit from a twenty
five*
pence rebate.
If
you pay Income Tax, whether it be on wages, salaries, pensions or
dividends on shares, you could donate through New Gift Aid. We do not need to know your income or details such as your
National Insurance number. All you have to do is sign a simple
confidential form, and make your donation by offertory envelope or
standing order.
To
get the taxman giving is simple. You just make a declaration that
you would like all your donations to the Parish to be treated as
New Gift Aid.
This can be done in person or over the telephone.
Not
only is New Gift Aid a simple way to give more, it is also very
flexible. One
declaration will last your lifetime - though you can cancel it at
any time. It
covers weekly giving at Mass as well as one off donations -
there
is no set amount required for a donation - you
can stop and start as your finances allow - you
can reduce or increase your payments to suit your changing
circumstances such as a promotion at work, a new baby or a
loss of income. We are most
grateful to those who are already contributing via the Gift Aid
scheme. Contact
our Parish Representative, Mrs. Agnes Hill
if
you feel you can participate in Gift Aid at Our Lady of the Sacred
Heart.
*From
April 2008, because the Basic Rate of Income Tax has been reduced to 20%, Gift
Aid rebate is also reduced from 28p to 25p in the pound.
This
is how the system works:
